Which Samsung Display Fits Your Business?

Looking for a TV for hotel rooms, signage for a shop window, or an interactive display for a classroom or meeting room? Samsung's business display range is broad, and the model names look alike at first glance. This guide sorts the products by use and explains in plain language who each one suits.

Who is Kodsis?

Kodsis is your brand-independent solutions partner. We do not tie you to a single manufacturer. Together we choose the solution that fits your project, your space and your existing infrastructure. This guide focuses on Samsung products. If your project calls for another brand, we will assess that too. We stay with you through installation, configuration and support.

Terms used in this guide

  • Nit (brightness): The unit that tells you how bright a screen is. The higher the number, the easier the screen is to read in bright surroundings. For indoor spaces, 350 to 500 nits is usually enough. Shop windows and outdoor spots with strong light need several thousand nits.
  • 24/7, 16/7, 12/7: The operating schedule the manufacturer supports. "24/7" means non-stop, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. "16/7" means 16 hours a day and "12/7" means 12 hours a day, both 7 days a week. If the screen will stay on all day, look at the 24/7 options.
  • Pixel pitch: On LED displays, the distance between two light points, measured in millimetres and written as "P1.2", for example. The smaller the number, the finer and sharper the picture, so smaller values are chosen for screens viewed from close up.
  • IP rating: How well a device is protected against dust and water. IP5X means protection against dust, and IP56 means protection against dust and powerful water jets. IK10 is the highest level of impact resistance.
  • Tizen, Android, no operating system: Tizen gives Samsung displays a built-in media player, so no extra device is needed for your content. Android interactive displays run apps like a tablet. Models without an operating system are ready to use once you connect your computer.

5. Outdoor and window displays

What are they for? Sunlight-readable, weather-resistant outdoor displays, and window displays that work behind glass. It is important not to mix the two up: the outdoor models resist rain and dust, while the window model is for indoor spaces.

Model Size Brightness Operating schedule Protection Operating temperature
OHA 75 in 3,500 nits 24/7 IP56 and IK10 -30 to +50 °C
OHD 55 in 3,500 nits (peak 4,000 nits) 24/7 IP56 and IK10 -30 to +50 °C
OMB Window Display 55 in 3,000 nits 24/7 IP5X (dust) 0 to 40 °C

The OHD has a sensor that adjusts brightness to the ambient light. The OHA and OMB are 4K. The OMB has built-in Wi-Fi.

Who is it for? - OHA and OHD: Restaurants, hotel entrances, petrol stations and similar open-air uses - OMB: Window displays inside a building behind glass and visible from outside. It is not meant for rain or winter conditions. Choose the OHA or OHD for those.

6. Video walls

What are they for? Placing several screens side by side to form one large screen wall. Thin bezels keep the gap between screens to a minimum. All three series run 24/7, use Full HD IPS panels and have IP5X dust protection.

VHC 55 in 700 nits 0.88 mm
VMB-U 46, 55 in 500 nits 3.5 mm
VMC 55 in 500 nits 1.74 mm

Who is it for? - Large wall installations such as reception areas, control rooms and showrooms - Choose the VHC or VMC to keep the bezel as unobtrusive as possible, and consider the VMB-U if you want a balance of budget and size

7. LED screen walls

What are they for? Building seamless, very large and bright screen surfaces. All models are for indoor use and operate between 0 and 40 °C. The smaller the pixel pitch, the finer the image, so small values are chosen for areas viewed from close up.

Model Pixel pitch Brightness Highlights
The Wall MPF P0.8 1,000 nits Smallest pixel pitch in the list
The Wall MMF P0.9 and P1.2 600 nits Fine pixel pitch for areas viewed from close up

Who is it for? Meeting rooms, lounges and offices that want to move the screen around.

Frequently Asked Questions

Indoors, 350 to 500 nits is enough for most uses. Near windows or in spaces with sunlight, choose a brighter model (for example the QHC at 700 nits or the QHF at 1,000 nits). In direct sun outdoors, use an outdoor model such as the OHA or OHD.

If the screen will be on for more than 16 hours a day, we recommend models with a 24/7 oper

If you only want to show content, regular signage is enough. If you want customers or guests to reach information by touching the screen, choose touch signage. For writing in a classroom or meeting room, you need an interactive display or a flipchart.

Tizen models have a built-in media player, so no extra device is needed. For remote content management, we install and configure content management software such as Samsung VXT.

Some models include a stand in the box and for others it must be bought separately. Wall mounts are usually supplied separately. We confirm the right one for your project before installation.

Tell us about your space, where and how many hours a day the screen will run, the viewing distance and the type of content. We will choose the right model and accessories together with you. If needed, we will also compare brands other than Samsung.
